So Blizzard is going to have the NA, EU, and SK finals all on the same weekend and at the same time as TI3. All I want to say is that you better have a dota2 client because Twitch will be dead all weekend.

If it's the former, some streamers could still live stream straight through YouTube.

Two major events happening over one weekend is going to overload twitch as thousands. I doubt anything above 360p will be crystal clear with twitch already having problems.

Disagree. Twitch was amazing, and anyone who saw EVO, saw amazing production values and very consistently high quality streams. The only people who complained didn't have internet connections fast enough for the 720p they were trying to watch, worked flawlessly for me all weekend once Sean figured his router out. Now granted, EVO isn't going to draw as many as both of these events will. I think part of this is blatant by Blizzard to preserve their South Korean market. Everyone knows Dota is expanding into South Korea, and its working pretty well, but if the Blizzard finals distract all the South Korean player base, the International wont be able to captivate the Koreans the way it might have, especially since there are no Korean teams at TI3. FXOpen is gonna make a case for TI4 though, they are very good.

The thing is though, this was such a bad move for Blizz. It took a SC2 expansion to put SC2 back into top 10 played for South Korea. As much as I hate to say it, outside of Blizzard RTS, the genre of strategy is dead as an e-sport. Also Koreans love themselves some LoL, and I am sure they will love Dota2. The weekend viewership will be broken down like this:

SC2 fans will watch WCS

Dota2 fans will watch TI4.

Fans of both will most likely watch TI4 as it is the superbowl of esports.

P.S. Totalbiscuit who is a SC2 team owner, caster, youtuber has already said he will be watching TI4 when his team isn't playing. That dude is such a huge part of the scene, it is scary what power he wields.

TI5 actually. QPAD won TI3 and Chuan 1v5d all of TI4, and that isn't 5 players its 5 teams, and all he had was 2 tangos, a gg branch, and a divine rapier on wisp.
